Ignore Tibb

Tibbs' Law Makes It Illegal to 'Fortify' A Private Home.

"The law states that to “fortify an access point” means to willfully construct, install, position, use or hold any material or device designed to injure a person upon entry or to strengthen, defend, restrict or obstruct any door, window or other opening into a dwelling, structure, building or other place to any extent beyond the security provided by a commercial alarm system, lock or deadbolt, or a combination of alarm, lock or deadbolt."

Now you can lay prey to goblins and goons. They claim the law is to make it easier for 'law enforcement' to gain entry into a place where 'felonies' may be committed.

"State Rep. Sue Tibbs was one of the sponsors of a bill that makes it unlawful for “any person to willfully fortify an access point into any dwelling, structure, building or other place where a felony offense prohibited by the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Act is being committed, or attempted, and the fortification is for the purpose of preventing or delaying entry or access by a law enforcement officer, or to harm or injure a law enforcement officer in the performance of official duties."

You may thank Probo-War II for bringing about such legislation. Legislation that will not make you safe or secure in your person or things, see 4th Amendment. No ballastic resistant glass, burglar bars, special locks, etc may be used to secure your residence, business, or property. You the subject will only be permitted to use Brinks Home security type alarms and a deadbolt if you live in Occupied Oklahoma.

If I were a Sooner I would kick Sue out of the state. I hear Liberia is a wonderful place. It resides on the East coast of Africa, and is very lush in its flora & fauna. I even understand they have gourmet meals where the other white meat is the main course. They even sometimes use this new pork in religious ceremonies as a sacrament to the god of courage in battle. Brown, Brown is also served most liberally for recreational purposes. Heck she can even own an AKM and RPG in Liberia. Liberia home of the free! Home of the slave. At least exile her for 18 months to such a place and then ask her before permitting re-entry if she understands the importance of being secure in her person and things, or of course you could always remove all her locks and windows from any of her property holdings.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." 4th Amendment of these United States

Ever Feel Like Yossarian?

Yossarian: Those bastards are trying to kill me.
1st Lt. Milo Minderbinder: No one is trying to kill you sweetheart. Now eat your dessert like a good boy.
Yossarian: Oh yeah? Then why are they shooting at me Milo?
Dobbs: They're shooting at everyone Yossarian.
Yossarian: And what difference does that make?
Dobbs: Look Yossarian, suppose, I mean just suppose everyone thought the same way you do.
Yossarian: Then I'd be a damn fool to think any different.

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller is actually an anti-corporate lifestyle novel. I know it sounds odd but even the author say's it is not an anti-war novel. He was just using his experiences in the war to demonstrate the idiocy of the office cubical crowd. My literature professor wanted to debunk me on this point, but I had the author's own forward to foil him. Anyway, read that book. It is a really good book. I think it frames the ineptitude of people very well, and goes well with other readings like Atlas Shrugged. Yossarian just wants to escape while Galt wanted to drop out.

Fraking Idiots

Iran Anniversary 'punch' will stun West: Breitbart

Last week America moved a ton of ordnance into the region. This week the leader of that nation is screaming some insane garbage. I honestly think the morons in charge across the globe want to fight.

"The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned," Khamenei

The schmuck from Alaska, stay out of Texas, was down here supporting Perry, and has even said if Big O would go to war with Iran it would be a good thing. Fraking Neo-Cons, have you republican supporters not learned anything from the past decade?

LMFAO she yaps about constitutional limits. And quit talking about Cowboy Ronnie he is dead, the wall is used as bathroom decoration in casinos today, and missile silos have been converted into high schools.

She can take her .50 Beowulf and go die for Riyadh herself. Leave our boots out of it. I am sick of war, bailout, taxes, and police state all the while infrastructure riots in this nation and the burden grows on us and the next 10 generations.

"GET OUT OF THE WAY!" John Galt

P-22 Front: Screws

Maybe I over torqued, but since the front separated from the frame why not . . . The back screw sticks out further on the other side. I stopped because I did not want to strip them.

Pictures are better then words sometimes:

S&W/Walther may get a phone call after all, but I am in no mood to deal with customer service people that know nothing about guns.

I gonna print out the P-22 Bible.

Plinking Pistol

Frankly, I do not put much stock into a rimfire handgun now-a-days. A rimfire rifle is what I will use for hunting. I am not tossing some rimfire pistol into a BOB just to have a .22lr on hand. Who needs extra weight. I swear some people want to be walking armories. Good luck eating if the world got so bad it required you to actually walk on foot.

Nope, rimfire handguns are for fun. They exist for the same reason all those new tacticool rimfire rifles exist. It is cheaper to shot. It helps learn the basics without any mentionable recoil. And they are great to teach children about firearms.

My P-22, and I know I did not really get into this one, is the 5" model. I do like it. It is nice and smooth. It gets the job done. I would not even be afraid of trying to take a rabbit with it. I would not purposefully hunt small game with it, but if I am out in the country and something crosses my path while plinking . . . it will put it into the pot. Yet, my P-22 decided to finally give me an issue the other day.

The front block separated away from the frame during the first magazine dump. I still shot another magazine through it. Why not it is not like that damn part is critical to the gun. Furthermore, why not be hard on the damn thing . . . I figured I goofed in putting it back together, or in other words, I did not cinch it up tight enough. I am currently working on this right now, and will test it next time to make sure. If it does fail . . . I hope they speak German on the other end of the line. I will be that mad.

Oh and if anybody has had this happen with one of there 5" models let me know.

I also am perplexed by something else . . . Why is the barrel nut not threaded? It requires a wrench to get off. I do not even remember form the last time. It is threaded on the barrel. I broke it down once over a year ago. I just do not really care about rimfire. Blasphemy I know, but until it needs to be cleaned or fix I leave it alone. It is oiled and stored until that point.

Oh and I think I will eventually obtain a suppressor for it. Quieter range time fun is a plus in my book.

I should have taken a picture of the problem, sorry, but I got this picture:

Have fun with the Superbowl. I am cleaning guns and knives . . .

Field Dressing A Hog

The Eagle found this video the other day and sent me the link. I admire the guy's control over the blade. I think the knife is a Mora, but that is neither here nor there. Any sharp knife should get the job done.

I will have to pick my neighbor's brain. Yesterday I did talk to him for a little bit, but Meine Frau was in a hurry, which cut the conversation short. He was telling me 30-40lbs and under makes for the best eating when it comes to hogs. After that the larger the hog the nastier it will get, which ended with him complaining about a 300lbs kill. The man has been hunting since he was knee high, and even has an armadillo recipe. Gotta love the boys from Central/West Texas, but then again I am biased about regions.

My neighbor also prefers the stalking method. He is not keen on feeders. He was telling me that killing them at feeders can run them off for a few months. I do not know since I have seen videos on youtube where one gets shot, the herd scatters, and then within the same day they come back to the feeder. I think being opportunistic by nature will override any intelligence the hog possesses. I am also not to concerned about feeders other then attracting when not around because we are one of a few with a water source. I know Texas summers and water will get scarce at some point. That should keep animals, including hogs, attracted in the long term. True, hogs have no range, but herd after herd will be searching for the same resources.

Anyway, I take all advice in on the subject. In the end it will be learning by doing. But if you live in hog country it would be wise to know how to hunt them since they are everywhere, and I even wonder if civilization melted if they could be driven to extinction through over hunting. As it stands right now humans are using every method known and the population is still exploding. Deer may get scarce or go away, but hogs are forever.
